It’s crazy beautiful about real stag for handle material, but it’s also very hard to get enough many nice looking pieces, which also are legitimate to buy and manufacture. This staghorn comes from a legal source of Sambar deer stag. Staghorn, as everyone knows, is a natural material that moves – it shrinks and swells due to humidity. In addition, when horn ages, it shrinks slightly, and there is not much to do anything about it. This means that small stress cracks around bolts and ends are already visible on the folding knives or will occur later on. This is not covered by any guarantee! This means that you can always return a knife and request the money back (for the knife) but it cannot be warranty repaired or replaced by another sample. Or as they state on an auction – sold in the existing condition!
If you already know the characteristics of the horn, you can look forward to a really nice sample with well-matched staghorn sides, AAA quality in terms of patterns. Unfortunately, we could not mount the traditional bracket, it simply didn’t fit on this special.

Ein feines Messerchen
Durch die perfekt geschliffenen und eingepassten Hirschhornschalen ein richtiger Handschmeichler. Auch die Klinge ist absolut symmetrisch bearbeitet. Muss sich hinter einem Handmade Custom Knive nicht verstecken.

Sehr edel
Das Messer ist mit den Hornschalen einfach schön. Als ist online nach einem Gentleman-Messer gesucht habe, wusste ich sofort: das ist mein Messer. Nur die Standart-Scheide passt nicht, weil die Schalen dicker sind. Aber bei so schönem Messer suche ich was passendes aus echtem Leder. Die Schneide ist so scharf, das ich mich bei putzen der Fingerabdrücke gleich geschnitten habe. Aber, ein Pflaster mit dem Firmenlogo ist dabei. Schon lustig.

The Fällkniven Gentleman’s Pocket Knife appears to be a traditional, slightly old-fashioned pocket knife but if you look at it closely you will find nothing but modern materials and hi-tech solutions. We asked some professional hunters to look at a handmade sample of the GP, and their spontaneous review was: This is how a folding knife for hunting purposes should look like! Aside from personal preferences, we guess that many people will like the steel of this knife, our laminated cobalt steel is unlikely sharp. Other benefits include the reliable blade lock. A properly built liner-lock system is, in our opinion, the world’s strongest blade lock while still being easy to deal with. This technical solution also means that the knife is easy to clean. Rinse it under running warm water and let it dry for achieving best hygiene and function. As the strong blade bolt is threaded, you can adjust the blade inertia to suit your personal taste. The blade joint does not require lubrication. Oil and grease rather attract dust and dirt and this will increase rather than reduce wear. The shackle at the end of the handle allows you to tie the knife – you wouldn’t like to lose this beauty! The GP knife is made of stainless steel and dark cocobolo, which is a Central American tree. Cocobolo is an oily, hard and heavy wood that is durable and beautiful. Special care is not needed but a linseed oil-based tincture, furniture oil or wood oil enhances the luster of the wood.
