40 Jahre Fällkniven Jubiläum - wir feiern das Fällkniven Phantom
Fällkniven, unter anderem Hoflieferant des Königshauses von Schweden, feiert sein 40-jähriges Firmenjubiläum mit einem zweiten Jubiläumsmodell - das Fällkniven Phantom. Ein Klappmesser aus exklusiven Materialien und harmonischen Proportionen zwischen Griff und Klinge. Für die Klinge dieses Sondermodelles setzt Fällkniven wieder auf den schwedischen Pulverstahl Elmax von Uddeholm. Dieser Stahl wurde bereits in anderen Serien (unter anderem A1x, F1x und S1x) verwendet und hat sich im harten Alltag als erstklassiger Messerstahl erwiesen. Messerenthusiasten auf der ganzen Welt sind von diesem Stahl begeistert. Einfach zu schärfen und trotzdem lange scharf und schnitthaltig. Exklusives Design gepaart mit zeitloser Eleganz und hochwertigen Materialien
Die Griffschalen aus amerikanischem Wüsteneisenholz stammen aus zertifiziertem Anbau aus dem Südwesten der USA. Wüsteneisenholz ist aufgrund seines langsamen Wachstums eines der härtesten und dichtesten Hölzer der Welt mit goldbraunen, stark gemaserten Einschlüssen. Aufgrund seiner Dichte von bis zu 1,2 kg/dm³ hat das Holz alz einiges Holz nicht die Fähigkeit zu schwimmen. Dank dieser hohen Dichte lässt es sich jedoch hervorragend pollieren und ist enorm widerstandsfähig degen Abrieb und Verschleiß; das ideale Holz für Messergriffe. Das Design ist zeitlos, klassisch und modern. Die Klinge wird über einen Liner-Lock sicher im offenen Zustand fixiert. Aufgrund seiner Nagelkerbe kann man das Messer einfach öffnen und es ist legal zu tragen!

Gut, jedoch im Detail verbesserungswürdig.
Messer: Solide gebaut, wunderbar scharfe Klinge, schöne Griffschalen. Platinen sehr scharfkantig. Da man sie beim Gebrauch des Messers zwangsläufig berührt, wäre leichte Abrundung besser. Messertasche: Sehr schöne Arbeit und Möglichkeit sie horizontal oder vertikal am Gürtel zu tragen. An der Schlaufe zusätzlich Klemmfeder angebracht. Sie schadlos abzunehmen zu können wäre gut, wenn man nur die Schlaufe gebraucht. Fa. Wolfknives: Habe bereits einige Messer dort gekauft. Immer "saubere" Ware erhalten, schnelle Lieferung, absolut korrekte Abwicklung. Vorbehaltslos zu empfehlen !

The story behind this sensational knife began when the Swedish Air Force in 1987 asked us to develop a new survival knife, a knife that would better match the technical environment that the JAS 39 Griffin system stood for. The taiga knives are distinctive hunting and all-round knives for the demanding user. A strong blade in laminated cobalt steel does not only mean a stable function, you notice quite quickly that the edge holds the sharpness really well without being brittle. The reason is the fine, well heat treated and tempered steel but also the convex shaped edge that is not only strong but also wood-sharp. The ergonomic shape of the handle provides a secure grip regardless of weather and wind. As shown in the design, TF1 is a handmade knife with a handle in the very exclusive desert ironwood (lat. Olneya tesota). This species is not listed in CITES Annexes or the IUCN Red List of Endangered Species and is therefore legal to use. Like all natural materials, it varies in texture and color, making each knife an individual creation. A beautifully veined pattern may look attractive but a straight, patterned handle is actually stronger. Desert ironwood, which grows in the southwestern United States, has a somewhat peculiar quality – it is heavier than water, its density is 1.2 kg/dm³ which means it will sink. If you want to maintain or even increase the luster in the wood, treat it with log oil, furniture oil, bench oil or other type of wood oil containing linseed oil. The fact that the blade goes full width through the handle (so-called full tang blade) results in a very strong and reliable construction and gives a comfortable weight to the knife.
