Hier handelt es sich um einen Schleifstein mit einer Körnung von ca. 5000-6000.Der "Belgische Brocken" ist ein Schleifstein, der für viele Werkzeug- und Messerschärfer der Inbegriff des Abziehsteins ist. Er enthält ca. 30 % homogene eingelagerte Granate als Schleifpartikel, dadurch ist er etwas langsamer im Materialabtrag als der bekannte gelbe Brocken, aber dafür langlebiger. Der große Vorteil des Blauen Steins liegt darin, dass die vorkommenden Schichten in Stärken von 15–20 cm verwertet werden können, wodurch man wieder schöne große Banksteine schneiden kann. Coticule Whetstone Small, sizes and shapes may vary. Consists of two layers: a Coticule seam (not every Coticule seam in our quarry is of the same thickness). And black slate. Tiny hairline cracks may be visible along the edges of the stone. This is perfectly normal for such a brittle material and it has no influence at all on the sharpening properties. Bulk packed.
