Der hochwertige Geologenhammer 761 der Meisterline von Picard ist aus einem Stück Werkzeugstahl geschmiedet und geht nahtlos in den Ledergriff über. Der Hammer hat ein Kopfgewicht von 500 g und ein Gesamtgewicht von 965 g. Die Gesamtlänge beträgt 31,5 cm. Made in Germany. Der Hammerkopf Die glatte Schlagfläche (auch glatte Bahn genannt) und die schlanke, ausgewogene Spitze des Latthammers sind präzise ausgearbeitet und induktiv gehärtet. Der von Picard verwendete Werkzeugstahl erfüllt nicht nur den DIN-Standart C45 sondern ist noch höher gehärtet und hierdurch robuster und verschleißfester. Der geschmiedete, gewichtsoptimierte Stiel sorgt durch seine Konstruktion für eine ausgewogene Balance und höchste Schlagkraft. Seine sorgfältig geschliffene Oberfläche geht nahtlos in den Griff über. Der Ledergriff Die einzelnen Platten aus Kernleder sitzen verwindungssicher auf dem massiven Ganzstahl-Griff. Das sieht nicht nur gut aus: Leder nimmt Feuchtigkeit auf und gibt sie nach getaner Arbeit wieder ab. Diese Lederoberfläche ist zudem auch noch extrem verschließfest. Das Griffende wurde mit einer Abschlußplatte fixiert und mithilfe einer Torxverbindung sicher verschraubt (nicht wie bei anderen Herstellern nur vernietet!).
