 The blade is a solid blade made of powder steel, Elmax SuperClean from Uddeholm, Sweden. This means a stronger blade that keeps its sharpness significantly longer. After testing and using this steel for a number of years we can conclude that it is a very high performing and affordable steel. It has a very good balance between sharpness and strength, but is still relatively easy to sharpen. The hardness sits around 61-62 HRC, a hardness that we found ideal for this steel in terms of sharpness and strength. Blade function

Diese spezielle Art der Beschichtung hat eine extrem hohe Härte von 2400 HV Vickers (dies entspricht ca. 83 HRC!). Aufgrund dieser Härte ist es kaum möglich die Beschichtung zu beschädigen oder abzunutzen. Natürlich kann hier auch der ein oder andere Kratzer auftreten, gerade wenn Metall auf Metall trifft oder im Zuge des Nachschärfens. Nichts destotrotz kennen wir im Augenblick nur wenig Beschichtungen die dieser ebenbürtig sind. Das Fällkniven S1PRO "Premium Edition" Outdoormesser mit Zytelscheide für Rechtshänder hat eine Klingenlänge von 130 mm und eine Klingenstärke von 6 mm. Die Gesamtlänge beträgt 247 mm bei einem Gewicht von ca. 250 g. Die Klinge aus lam.COS Stahl mit einer Härte von 60 HRC ist konvex (ballig) geschliffen. In dieser Premium Edition erfolgt die Lieferung inkl. eines schlagfesten, wasserresistentem Kunststoffkoffer, der Zytelscheide für Rechtshänder und den Fällkniven Diamant/Keramik Schärfstein DC4. Zwischen dem bekannten Griff aus Thermorun und der Klinge wurde nun ein Parierstück eingebracht, welches nicht nur optische Reize setzt, sondern auch das Hineinrutschen in die Klinge verhindern soll. Bei der Fällkniven S1PRO "Premium Edition" hat sich auch der Lieferumfang erhöht. Das Messer wird in speziell für die Pro Serie entwickelten, schlagfesten und wasserresistenten Kunststoffkoffern, sowie dem Fällkniven DC4 Diamant/Keramik-Schärfstein ausgeliefert. Sheaths Zytel sheaths is an injection molded, super strong zytel sheath. The benefit is that the zytel sheath can easily be cleaned. Steel The blade for the H1 has previously been manufactured from Stainless Laminated CoS steel. We have used this steel for many years and are very satisfied with its strength and edge retention. It is heat treated and tempered to 60 HRC, in an excellent combination of strength and sharpness. Tests at the Solid Mechanic Laboratory of Lulea University of Technology show that this steel is among the strongest in the world. However, since October 2006 we offer this knife with the famous 3G steel, a laminated powder steel which we believe is the best steel in the world. First of all, a hunting knife may look very different and still work very well – in many respects it depends on the person actually holding the knife as to how it will perform.
