Liner Style Lock & Damascus Blade
The Higo No Kami is a style of folding pocketknife native to Japan. Traditionally this is a friction folder, which simply means that the knife is held closed simply by the friction created between the washers and handle material in contact with the blade. The blade is held in the open position by your hand wrapped around the handle and the "tang" of the blade as you use the knife.
To make the knife a little safer and to dress it up a bit, the Japanese manufacturer of our knife has created a Mino Kami by adding a liner style lock and a Damascus blade with an AUS-8 core and 16 layers of steel on either side of that core. The handle scales are Carbon Fiber over black-coated stainless steel liners. A tsuba shield adds an interesting touch on the obverse side at the pivot. Includes a black pocket clip for right-hand tip down carry. Measures 4-1/4" closed and weighs 3.5 oz. Made in Japan.

Qualität
Nicht zu groß für ein Taschenmesser aber größer und handlicher als das Higonokami Mizu Shibuki. Die Klinge ist sehr scharf und wackelt nicht. Die Klingenfeststellung ist einfach aber wirkungsvoll - auch hier kein Spiel. Rest des Produktes wie beschrieben.
