Stålberg Carpenter Axe
With its straight handle and long, narrow and straight edge, the Stålberg Carpenter Axe provides you with the precision any skilled craftsman demands.
The finger notch in the axe head allows a grip where your hand is placed almost straight above the center of the cutting edge, for increased precision. Like all our axes, the Stålberg is hand forged and made from Swedish quality steel. As part of the head-forging process, the steel axe head is struck 40-60 times, thereby increasing its density and resulting in great durability. This axe is named after one of Hults Bruk's most experienced blacksmiths from the first half of the 20th century, Ernst Stålberg.

Great axe
Gransfors Bruk are girly axes for sissy Americans. I've got two of those. Hults Bruk/Hultafors are manly axes for tough Europeans. God bless Europe! God bless Sweden where both brands are based! Thank you Team from Wolfknives - Feines Werkzeug & Handwerk!

Perfektes Werkzeug
Ich bin lange um diese Axt herumgeschlichen, bin ich sie mir endlich gegönnt habe. Und ich bereue es keine Sekunde. Optik und Verarbeitung sind über jeden Zweifel erhaben, die Schutzhülle ein Traum aus fettem, wunderschönen Leder, aber viel wichtiger ist, dass Gewicht, Balance und Kopfdesign genau richtig sind. Ein Werkzeug, das zum Arbeiten gemacht ist, nicht nur zum dekorativ an die Wand hängen. In Sachen Qualität und Verarbeitung absolut ebenbürtig zu meiner großen Gränfors Spaltaxt, die ich ebenfalls liebe.

Hervorragendes Werkzeug - so sieht "Premium" aus.
Zugegeben, ich habe da irgendwie eine kleine Schraube locker, was geschmiedete Äxte betrifft. Unter meiner Sammlung befinden sich auch mehrere Gränsfors-Exemplare, die zurecht stets sehr gute Kritiken bekommen. Nun habe ich mir aufgrund des weitaus günstigeren Preises diese Zimmermannsaxt von Hultafors gegönnt, und ich muss sagen, dass sie mindestens ebenbürtig ist. Die Scheide ist die Edelste, die mir bisher untergekommen ist - schön fettes Leder und wird mit einem odentlichen Lederriemen gesichert, was bei diesem traditionellen Werkzeug einfach wie die Faust aufs Auge passt. Der Schliff ist messerscharf und poliert wie ein Spiegel. Mit dem perfekten "Durchmesser" hält man den Stil satt in der Hand und passt perfekt zum ausgewogenen Kopfgewicht. Für ernsthaftes Bushcrafting würde ich mich für diese Axt entscheiden, wenn nur eine erlaubt wär... (ansonsten noch zusätzlich ein kleines Beil). Fällen klappt trotz des kurzen Stils natürlich auch noch, aber beim präzisen Behauen /Einkerben von Stämmen macht das Teil einfach nur Freude. Alles in Allem mein absoluter Preis/ Leistungs-Tipp. ...und Wolfknives hat mal wieder superschnell geliefert. Danke!

Premium-Schleifstein für Äxte mit zwei Körnungen (grob 180 / fein 600) und Schutztasche aus echtem Leder – von Hultafors. Mit diesem Schleifstein kann die Axt überall geschärft werden. Der Schleifstein ist von optimaler Größe, um einen festen Griff zu ermöglichen und dabei die Finger und Hände vor Schnittverletzungen zu schützen.
