CC4 combination ceramic/ceramic whetstone   We're happy to present something everyone has been waiting for - a combination ceramic/ceramic whetstone that will handle your finest sharpening needs. The newly-developed CC4 whetstone consists of a super fine ceramic stone (white side) (0,1 micron) and a ceramic stone, made of synthetic sapphires (dark gray) (1 micron). You don't need any lubrication for these stones but now and then you should consider cleaning them with water and liquid soap. After restoring the edge to original shape, de-burr the edge lightly with the grey side of the ceramic stone in order to get a razor-sharp edge. The white side of the CC4 is a very smooth ceramic stone, it´s mostly used for polishing the edge. Use no oil or water.Start by laying the blade flat on the stone, raise the blade spine approx. the thickness of the blade, and start moving the knife in circular motions.

The laminated VG10 steel is replaced with a laminate cobalt steel (lam. CoS) which, amongst other things, ensures a durable edge and improved edge retention. 2. The blades are consistently thicker causing an increased torsional rigidity – they will withstand even greater external forces than before. 3. The tapered tang is wider and thicker and thus significantly stronger. 4. The crossguard is made of stainless steel and permanently mounted to the tang. 5. The convex edge has been refined to improve the cutting properties. 6. The zytel sheaths are redesigned meaning they are more durable and are better suited to the Molle attachment system. 7. The knives are supplied with our most valued combination whetstone, the DC4. It offers both a diamond whetstone and a ceramic stone for field sharpening. 8. The knives are packed in shock-resistant, waterproof boxes that can be used for storage of smart phones, GPS, documents, survival gear and much more. Understandably these knives fall into a higher price category. However, considering the unparalleled quality they are by no means over priced. A professional survival knife should be able to be relied upon in the all-weather and we really mean all weather. Der lam. VG-10 besteht aus 2 Stahlsorten wobei die laminierten Außenlagen aus 420JS Stahl und die mittige Schneidlage aus VG-10 Stahl besteht. Die Härte (HRC) beträgt beim lam. VG-10 ca. 59 Rockwell. Die chemische Zusamensetzung des VG-10 Stahl lautet: C 1.00 %, Si 0.60 %, Mn 0.50 %, P 0.030 %, Cr 15.00 %, Mo 1.05 %, Co 1.40 %, V 0.20 %. Die Version mit lam. CoS Stahl ist die neueste Version des Messers. Der lam. CoS Stahl wurde erstmals Ende 2015 von Fällkniven in der PRO-Serie des F1, S1 und A1 verwendet. Nun gibt es das reguläre F1 ebenso mit dieser Stahlvariante. Beim lam. CoS Stahl bestehen die beiden Außenlagen aus 420JS und die mittige Schneidlage aus CoS Stahl. Hierdurch erreicht man eine höhere Rockwellhärte von 60 HRC. Die Schnitthaltigkeit ist nochmals verbessert und die Standzeiten wurde erhöht. Die chemische Zusammensetzung des lam. CoS lautet: C 1.10 %, Si 0.0 %, Cr 16 %, W 0.3 %, Mo 1.5 %, Co 2.5 %, P 0.0 %, V 0.3 %. Die Version mit 3G-Stahl bildet die Oberliga des F1. Der pulvermetalurgische Stahl besitzt je eine Außenlage aus rostfreiem VG-2 Stahl und eine mittlere Schneidlage aus sehr hartem SGPS (Super Gold Powder Steel). Die Schneidlage erreicht eine Härte von 62 HRC, hat eine extrem hohe Schärfe, erstklassige Schnitthaltigkeit und sehr lange Standzeiten. Die chemische Zusammensetzung des SGPS lautet: C 1.40 %, Si 0.50 %, Mn 0.40 %, P 0.030 %, Cr 15.00 %, Mo 2.80 %, S 0.030 %, V 2.00 %. Das passende Messer für Rechts- oder Linkshänder Das Fällkniven F1 gibt es mit verschiedenen Steckscheiden. Die Standardversion wird mit der Zytelscheide ausgeliefert und ist sowohl für Rechts- als auch Linkshänder erhältlich. Vorteil der Zytelscheide ist das geringe Gewicht. die robuste Bauweise und die Möglichkeit das Messer mit einer Hand zu ziehen. Das Reinigen der Zytelscheide kann einfach und problemlos erfolgen. Die Zytelscheide ist für den "normalen" Anwender geeignet, der das Messer auf Wanderungen oder beim Camping führen will. Die geschlossene oder offene Lederscheide ist nur in der Rechtshänderversion erhältlich. Die geschlossene Lederscheide bietet mit ihrer, über das Messer klappenden Schlaufe, einen zusätzlichen Schutz vor Verlust. Optisch wertet die Lederscheide das Messer nochmals auf und entschärft den "militärischen" Charakter der Zytelscheide. Die geschlossene Lederscheide sitzt etwas tiefer als die Zytelscheide und ist die optische Lösung für alle die die Wertigkeit des Messers unterstreichen wollen.Die offene Lederscheide ist eine Steckscheide ohne überlappende Schlaufe. Das Messer sitzt sehr tief am Gürtel, wodurch das Tragen mit einem Rücksack mit Hüftgurt erleichtert wird. Wir empfehlen diese Scheide für Backpacker und Personen die oft mit Rucksack unterwegs sind.
