Joe Houser is Buck's Map Manager and Counterfeit Prevention. He has been working at Buck for over 30 years and is proud to unveil his 119 Red Widow. The knife features a 6" clip point Bowie style blade with Buck's 75th Anniversary blade stamp. The blade is made from 420HC stainless steel for a good all around blade steel. The handle is made from stacked spacers of G10, red Micarta,, aluminum and red vulcanized paper. The pommel and guard are polished aluminum for a beautiful and pristine look. The knife is comes with a distressed leather belt sheath.
420HC is Buck's standard blade material because it approaches the wear resistance of high carbon alloys while delivering the corrosion resistance of chromium stainless steels. Add Buck's exclusive heat-treat process and you have a very user-friendly combination of superior corrosion resistance with excellent strength for wear resistance and durability. You also have a blade that is easy to resharpen. For best performance Buck hardens to a Rockwell hardness of 58-60HRC.
