Because of their excellent sharpening effect, synthetic Japanese water stones are finding more and more enthusiastic users. Due to their relatively soft structure, abrasive particles are constantly exposed during sharpening, thus allowing the maximum sharpening effect. The abrasive particles consist of metal oxides and carbides of high chemical purity which are bound in a ceramic matrix. The stones are equally suitable for Japanese and European cutting tools and knives. If necessary, they can be trued with wet grinding paper, or preferably on a special resurfacer.
