Sami Ladle (Kosa)

Length 130 mm, Ø 80 mm.

Made of oiled northern birch. The handle is plated with reindeer horn and engraved with runic symbols. With leather cord.

The Sami (also known as Lapps or Lapplanders) are a nomadic people who live in the northernmost parts of Scandinavia. The following products are traditionally crafted Sami household items. The design, material selection and production methods used to make these tools have remained virtually unchanged since the Viking age. The items we are offering were produced in Karesuando, a town in northern Sweden. They are made of reindeer horn and oiled northern birch.
