Scissors made by the Hangzhou Scissor Company near Shanghai have enjoyed popularity in China for centuries. These deluxe model scissors made of forged stainless steel have polished blades and hand-sharpened cutting edges. A brass screw allows the cutting action to be regulated and the scissors to be disassembled for sharpening. The curved and textured brass handles are decorated with dragon and peacock motifs (symbolizing good luck and long life), giving these scissors their unique aesthetic charm.
