Japanese Scissors (Nigiri)
Japanese Nigiri are scissors in their most archetypal form. Forged from a single piece of steel, they are exceptionally light and comfortable. Slight pressure between the thumb and forefinger is enough to make well-controlled cuts; the rebounding action of the thinly forged handle causes the scissor’s blades to reopen automatically to allow effortless cutting. Nigiri are suitable for making precision cuts in paper and thin fabric, for opening seams, cutting thread and for trimming house plants and Bonsai leaves. Their ease of function makes them additionally suited for those with motor disabilities. All our Nigiri are supplied in elegant gift boxes.
