equaling, warding, trapezoid, square, three-square, half-round, crossing, round.
 
For shaping convex and concave surfaces. The teeth are cut on both sides, the ends bent in opposite directions. Square mid-section. Comes in a leather roll.

Rasps are essential for giving shape to forms whose geometry does not consist of level planes and neat 90° angles. They display great versatility and allow very detailed work in cabinetmaking, violinmaking, sculpting, modelmaking, etc. The best rasps are still cut by hand using a hammer and a special pointed punch. Each tooth is raised individually, resulting in a pattern of irregularly sized and spaced teeth. This irregularity actually allows the rasp to function more smoothly, as abraded wood is less likely to clog the file, leaving a smoother finish behind. Herdim rasps are suitable for soft and hard woods, leather, plastics, plaster, marble and soft metals. Made of hardened carbon steel, with an annealed tang.

3 = coarse,
4 = medium,
5 = fine,
7 = very fine,
10 = ultra fine
