Damascus Blade Blank - Bavarian Hunter Style

Bladelenght 100 mm, total lenght 200 mm, blade thickness 4 mm, weight 55 g. Random damascus pattern.

Blade blank for a Bavarian style hunter with a stick tang (round). Random Damascus. The blade blanks are drop-forged.

These beautifully structured damascus blades with 192 layers are made in the Indus Valley. In order to achieve a high cutting performance, low alloy carbon steel 1095* is forged irrevocably with Nickel steel 15N20*. All blanks are already etched and hardened to 60 Rockwell. The edges are not completely sharpened. As these not rustproof blanks are entirely handmade, they may vary slightly in form and size.

*1095: 0,95% carbon; 15N20: 0,75% carbon, 2% nickel, 0,4% manganese.
