The archetype of the Japanese knife: Kuro Uchi Hocho In the forge of Master Kajiwara close to the Japanese centre of cutlery Tosa, knives are still made in the same way and style as centuries ago: using carbon steel (not stainless), the blades are formed according to traditional patterns, the surface stays unpolished and blackened. The unvarnished handles are equipped with fine ferrules made from the horn of the rare white buffalo. 3-layered blades with a core of ultra sharp Blue Paper Steel*, individually signed by the master.
