500 x 250 mm, Stärke 1,2 mm, flexibel.
These light and easy-to-read squares are used by Japanese carpenters (Daiku) for laying out complex joints and wooden constructions with great virtuosity. Sashigane can additionally serve as try squares by slightly tilting them. The blades are exactly 15 mm wide, making it easier to mark out tenons and board thicknesses. The front of the square has the usual metric markings (mm). The back of the square has two special calibrations: one gives the circumference of a measured diameter (3.14x) and the other the length of one side of a square inscribed by that circumference (0.7x). The beveled edges and slight hollow grind prevent ink markings from being smudged. The thicker corner joint allows inaccurate squares to be recalibrated.* Made of stainless steel.
